Air bookcase by Lago

The wooden bookcase that challenges gravity

Designer Daniele Lago - 2006

AIR is a bookcase which plays with full and empty spaces, in fact the shelves cunter with the light and transparent look of the glass supports. The bookcase seems floating in the air, facing the gravity and making the environment bright and aerial. The shelves can be in lacquered wood, in the 32 Lago chromatic options, or in Wildwood wood, in its three different finishes.

Why choosing Air?

  • FLOATING VOLUMES the shelves, supported by transparent glass panels, give to the structure a floating and light effect
  • SELF STANDING Air does not need any wall support, so it can be placed in front of decorated walls, glass panels and much more
  • EXPRESSIVE AND RECONFIGURABLE it is possible to make the shelves rotate, reconfiguring Air's aspect every time you want
  • BIFACIAL the shelves are finished in both sides, so Air can also be placed at the centre of the room in order to divide ambiences with a light and elegant look
  • RESISTANT Air's supports are all realized with tempered glass, six times more resistant than standard glass and able to resist to thermal differences and impacts
